CUT-PUTLY

CUT-PUTLY reimagines Rajasthan’s Kathputli folklore as a metaphor for patriarchy and control. Caged silhouettes and geometric forms reflect puppet-string tension, while layered, frayed denim textures speak to erosion, memory, and restraint.

Discarded denim and repurposed hotel linens are transformed into sculptural garments through experimental pattern-making, boning, and instinctive stitching. Flowing drapes clash with hardware elements like belts, buckles, and buttons, creating a raw, powerful language of deconstruction and reinvention.
